Wow! The Jazz just beat the 28th ranked team in the NBA. I think they are really on a roll. Way to go Corbiin and Miller.

Biggest win of the year over such a high ranked opponent. On a roll until Wednesday.

Coach Corbin you have to realize that the fans really are your employers. Yes most of us have never had any NBA experience. Yet some of us have been closely watching each game for decades. I do feel if criticism is coming in waves and Volume. You may just want to see if there is some truth to it.
I also think Kanter is a beast ready to play starter min. Who needs Al when you have a complete player like Enes.

Evans is pretty lost on Corbin's bench and we kind of forget about him sometimes but he has been impressive the last couple of times he got on the court. I hope he sees more playing time so all us wanna be coaches can get a better idea about his skills. From what I've seen he sure seems to be deserving of more playing time. Otherwise, last nights game was a bit of a yawner. Detroit is a terrible team.

Mr forgetyourself is heaping on the crtitcism and then shows us the depth of his insights by saying he is qualified by watching, I am certain he could coach chess after watching for a few years or figure skating, somebody should tell him he is watching because he doesn't know how.

The key phrase in the article was Detroit was "outmatched". That is the case of Utah when it plays other talent laden teams, they are outmatched. The new GM and the old one have seen fit to leave the team "outmatched" by most of the other top teams in the west and in the east.

When Utah gets the Duncans, Lebrons, Gasols, Bryants, Durants, or Stoudamires then we can "outmatch" the other teams in the league til then it will be like a midget toss everytime someone throws Corbin under the bus.

Make sure that KOC is under there for signing Raja then keeping him even when he chose not to let him play. Throw the new GM under there for not making a single trade from Oct to Feb.

Congress is looking for these guys to help them do nothing.

Now, sniff reality. The Thunder are next away with the Grizzlies and Knciks then at home. Then comes the backbreaker, a three game tour of Texas. Once, they reach the Alamo, it is all over. Corbin either gets tougher and leads or its time for a new coach.

Recent games that should have been won:

Boston
Atlanta
Cleveland
Milwaukee

Without those 4 losses, they Jazz probably would be sitting pretty to make the playoffs. The Chicago game was a heartbreaker but not really a game they technically should win on the road.

Likely losses coming up
@OKC
@SA
@HOU

Not to mention NY and Mem at home. The Jazz saving grace could be that at the end of the year some teams will already have their playoff spot, or shut down injured players for the year. The playoffs are not out at this point but bleak. The Jazz probably finish with around a 43-39/44-38 record. Probably not enough to get in....

The Jazz might have beat the Pistons, but it isn’t anything to brag about at this point. I get the sarcasm though Red and Blue. Sometimes I’ll invite my DISH office coworkers over to watch the games but I make sure it is playing on TV, when and what time by using the Game Finder app on my DISH Hopper. I got embarrassed once when the game was on a channel I didn’t subscribe to so now I’m prepared and don’t get egg on my face.

"They probably haven't never did anything at this level in their life. They can talk. Talk is cheap". Talk may be cheap but Coach Corbin should invest in it because he sounds completely illiterate when he speaks. A huge part of being a coach is the ability to communicate and with the nonsensical drivel that comes out of his mouth it is no wonder that his team is so undisciplined and disorganized. Coach Corbin sounds like he is drunk when putting words together.

Mr Doug10 if you are comparing Basket ball coaching to Chess? Then A master coach should be able to come in and be successful from the start right?
Are you saying that all fans are wrong that they are only to bow to the whim of an all knowing basketball expert?
Are you saying we have no future on this team? NO elite Players so no need to throw him under the bus are you kidding?
What have you to say about when the Jazz when lost Karl and Stockton and then made the playoffs?
What of the Pistons of championship where they had all unknowns?

You don't need to have been a great player to understand how the game of basketball should be played and coached.

My prime example is Rick Majerus. For 14 years, I watched that amazing man beat highly touted teams with players that virtually no one else wanted.

The problem this Jazz team has is not a lack of talent; it's poor decision making by the Head Coach. My prime examples?

Jefferson and Millsap should never be together on the court at the same time. Millsap cannot makeup for Jefferon's lack of defense, only Favors or Kanter can (at least partially).

The starting lineup should be: Kanter, Favors, Carroll, Hayward and Burks; unless a match up requires a change.

Mo Williams should have been re-introduced to the starting lineup slowly, not dumped immediately back into a starting position. Too many steals, bad passes and turnovers were the reult.

Jefferson is a great offensive player, but should not be starting. Why? Because his style of play stagnates both the offense and the defense. Once he gets the ball, everyone else stands around and watches him shoot, because they know the ball ain't coming back out.

It's pretty obvious at this point that Big Al and Corbin are cracking under pressure imagine if this was NY or LA they would be MIA Corbin doesnt know what he is doing peole need to stop holding his hand and stop making every possible excuse for him he is an assistan coach at best and Al will never be a winner unless he is not the go to guy.

dont be too hard on the new GM...just because he didnt made a trade...its not like he is going to the grocery to buy a bag of cheetos...there were offers...but offers that are probably...low balling him since he is a new GM...and would rather refuse and have cap relief...If the Paul Millsap for Bledsoe was offered...i am sure the clippers would give away a bad contract...since they have a lot of unused players...would you want that?...would you want a Gortat Dudley + someone for Hayward and Big Al?...would you want that? those were the rumored transactions...would you want a Big Al for Splitter and Patty Mills?...ok..i would think about that one...but...Splitter would be a free agent anyway...and patty mills won't cut it...and i am sure..He did his job and called other teams...the fact is...due to the new CBA...everyone would want the cap relief...rather than acquire bad contracts along with good players...If there is nothing there then i believe him...but the Raja for a bag of cheetos should have been done

Corbin's just feeling the heat. Professional sports comes with criticism, if you don't like it change professions. You get paid a lot to coach and participate in a high "level" game.

Corbin's response to the criticism hardly fills me with confidence. His words do not address the questions or indicate he has a plan or is aware of why things (like player rotations, playing people who don't play well together, benching better players who do work well together, seemingly randomly mixing rotations and playing Jefferson far too much, horrible interior and perimeter defense) aren't working.

He basically said 'I have no idea what is going on and what right do you have to criticise me?'

Well, actually, as an NBA coach responding to criticism is part of the job, and part of being a leader for the team.

Without leadership from the coach, and without any indication from the front office what direction the team is headed (cheap and tanking 2013-14 to get a high draft pick, then fire Corbin?), it is no wonder the players look a bit lost on the court.

There's always an excuse from Corbin. Always how great Al is etc... Everyone on the team could put up his numbers if they shot the ball that many times - and play defense. The Jazz are so predictable - bring the ball down, get it to Jefferson down low right side, crappy pump fake, shoot - every time. How about running a play for Favors? Kantor? All about the coaching. Time for many changes including the coach. Bring one in with a backbone. One not afraid to bench a starter.

think about it...Corbin needed something to fuel them past detroit...really? detroit? you need motivation to beat...detroit?...if this was OKC or Miami or some top 5 NBA team...then it would be ok...but against detroit?...they dont even have Drummond in the lineup...and that guy is a beast...
