Seems like a pretty good hire for USU. Good job, Coach Wells. This is a well-rounded and experienced staff.
One of the few weaker parts of the Aggie arsenal last year was the special teams. It looks like a good hire to strengthen that area. Go Aggies.
A little birdie told me that the Aggies have been invited to host the CAI first round in basketball again this year. I would love to see a rematch of the Y and the Aggies again if the Y doesn't make the NIT.
If we would've had Special Teams (specifically the kicking game) clicking last year at the level they needed to be, we would've gone undefeated during the regular season and been the only NCAA team to do so. As such, the system would've had to let us participate in a BCS bowl game, with the sky being the limit. That might sound a bit crazy, but it's true. We were just 2 make-able field goals short of that actually happening.
With this addition to correct that one weakness, the fundamentals might all be in place to make this coming season be the year! It's difficult not to have that level of anticipation.
Tator... we were a Nick Diaz away from doing it!
Keep everything the same but add an injuried Nick Diaz into the lineup against Wisconsin and BYU and the undefeated season would have been ours!
