So -- if the Jazz are signing a D-League shooting guard, what does this say about their opinion of Kevin McCarthy? Will they be sending Kevin back to the D-League? And what value do they see in a move like this so late in the season?
Is Murphy on a "make good" contract? If that's the case, he may be the one who is dropped.
Not sure who Kevin McCarthy is but Kevin Murphy has not looked like anything in the playing time he has been given. I assume this is a move which allows the Jazz to get a good look at a player they are somewhat interested in. If they like what they see, then they can keep him on 10 day contracts until the end of the season or close to and get him on their summer team.
