School pride and community pride are huge... This victory light will be a source of identity and closeness to the community.
I know that there will be a few negative comments about this project but if there are it will come from those that have no understanding of the need to belong that our kids and community need. It will come from those that feel 15 cents might be spent that will be pried out of their wallets.
We can't measure in money the positive this Victory Light will give this community.. My hat is off to the donor of the funds and those that pushed it.
I think it is a cool idea, as long as it is visible by most of the area that is within the school boundaries. It is similar to lighting the halo after an Angels victory in California.
