BYU went from battling San Diego State to San Diego.

LOL

I love my Pac 12 membership!

Even with the #1 team in the nation, your conference is respected enough to currently show 2 bids.

Pac 12 will have at least 5.

I love how Chris B is so interested with BYU's success, and insists on being the first one to comment.

Needlesstosay I believe in Coach Rose and think it will be a fun tourney to watch. GO BYU

@ Chris B. that is special that you can celebrate the success of the other Pac-12 teams. you pac-12 teams and fans must really have a tremendous unity in your conference.

You realize that Utah is in 10th place thanks to their great win last night over the last place PAC 12 team? BYU will be just fine in the years to come. Utah, not so much.

Crissy,
I doubt the NCAA will give 5 slots to an average league this year. They may get three and one of them WON'T be Utah. The NIT won't invite Utah either. Sad state of affairs on the hill. Enjoy YOUR last year as a BCS member. By the way, how much are your annual dues in this defunct club? I still cannot figure out how 10th place in an average conference is worth bragging about. Do you realize how silly you sound to people outside of SLC who do not care about U of U sports programs. You are a very small minnow in a very large ocean.

Gonzaga, and Saint Mary are both better then any PAC basketball team.

Utes would be the bottom dweller.

Being the conference punching bag, someone is proud of his membership? No pride!

Go figure.

Chris B,

I love your Pac 12 membership too, and your inspirational crusade to the impressive 10th place finish in the conference. Better storm the court for that one!

"BYU went from battling San Diego State to San Diego."

Yet BYU's new conference includes the #1 team in the nation and BYU still owns U.

Congratulations on being the San Diego of the PAC! You'd fit right in with the bottom dwellers of the WCC.

The future of BYU basketball is bright!

BYU has shrunk - now competing with San Diego and and other small college no names. When you play in a small pond you soon settle to that level yourself.

"When you play in a small pond you soon settle to that level yourself."

Like "settling" to #1-ranked team in the entire country and probable #1 overall seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament?

If that's the level BYU is "settling" to, Cougar Nation will gladly "settle" for that!

Hope Davies & Carlino play smart bb, as too many mt possessions will doom Y. Is Heywood now ready yo contribute? Need to play deep to keep players fresh...

@ Chris B ("Obsessing over all things BYU since 1995"),

Congrats to you and the Utes for qualigying for "your" post season tournament. Get used to looking forward to the conference tournament as you post season. It must has been invigorating to have all that tension, excitement and urgency the last several weeks wondering and hoping if you were going to get the bid, and then finally achieving your goal, and a ten seed at that. Not too shabby.

We love your BCS membership. Dominating the southern division in football, and now schooling the conference of champions on the hardwood. It's a good thing Coach Wooden coached when he did. He wouldn't have had a chance at half the suceess he enjoyed if the mighty Utes had been in his conference back then. Onward and Upward! There's no stopping U now.

Instead of throwing out small-mined hyperbole, you should do a little more research into the history of teams in the WCC. You might want to start with San Francisco, winner of back-to-back National Championships as a member of the WCC.

And aside from Kafusi's play, since when has the Cougs played physical at all this season? The team can't just flip the switch and try to play like they haven't. Hellooooooooo, NIT!

I hope the cougs can beat San Diego.

"You might want to start with San Francisco ....... " And teams like LMU in the late 80's with Hank Gathers (RIP) that team averaged over 100 points for at least three years.

In the meantime utah continues to drag down the once proud Pac 10. I wonder if they are as happy to have them as chrissy is for his "membership".

I wonder if they love you as much as you love them.

I'm sorry but I have never seen basketball on any level as a battle. The WCC refs make the old WAC refs look like professors of the task. The LMU/USF game should never have gone to OT. Not one, not two but three USF players mugged the LMU guy and the refs swallowed their whistles. I can't believe that the announcers, both BYU guys, sit there and say the refs are letting the players decide the game. I'm sorry but referees making the right calls at the right times is part of deciding the game. How can a player decide the game when the refs let guys mug each other? Every time one of these refs make a charge call I think they are trying to be part of the game, which no referee in any sport should ever be.

CA Reader...

Those two commentators were NOT BYU guys, for the record! ESPN U did that game?! I agree with your point, but when you get your facts screwed up it makes your whole comment look bad!
