Just goes to show that bad teams can make a one game push in crunch time. Look at Utah.
You are right. Any really bad team can make a good showing for a game or two against good teams. Utah did it against BYU only to get blown out shortly after by another terrible team. That's college b-ball.
LMU has struggled this season, certainly. But they have a lot of talented players on that team. I was especially impressed with Hamilton the last time they faced BYU. Ireland is a pretty talented player as well. But every team has talented players; and you can't get by on talent alone. But when a team starts to play well together, they can do good things.
After seeing how LMU played against BYU in that last game, their run in the WCC tournament just doesn't surprise me. I think they have a really good chance of getting that semi-final match up with Gonzaga.
