While this program has good intentions it ultimately is not good for the kids. Stopping or cutting down on bullying is good.
The problem is that now the kids don't have the unstructured play time. The kids don't have the opportunity for imaginative play. Leading child development experts tell us that kids need unstructured time to grow up mentally healthy.
Recess was important to Mark Twain, the Wright Brothers, etc.
Making our children prisoners is not good.
