If federal authorities (Justice and the FBI) are already investigating these charges against Swallow and Shurtleff, then why do we need to have the Governor call an independent prosecutor to ALSO perform an investigation?
Is there some kind of suspected massive conspiracy between the federal investigators, the two individuals being investigated, and the Republican establishment on Capitol Hill?
And here all along I thought it was only Republicans who could not trust federal authorities and not the leaders of the Democrats in Utah. Silly me!
