Duckhunter:Know what's even MORE common? When coordinators
call the plays. You guys have 2 DCs, and this clearly is another one of those
embarrassing moments where you got caught with your foot in your mouth, and are
now coming off looking very hypocritical. Oh well. I'm sure
you're used to that by now.
Maverick"Demonstrates a lack of commitment and discipline and
should be a red flag."Only to a BYU hater like U.
Although I would agree some people can't afford to miss classes in college,
Ziggy is applying for the NFL and it would seem imperative to prepare yourself
for the interview. I'm not sure we should be applauding somebody who
doesn't care enough to train for an event as big as the combine.
Demonstrates a lack of commitment and discipline and should be a red flag.
lint BYU only has 1 defensive coordinator and no one "coordinates" the
"blitzing game" or the "pass coverage game" or any other silly
stuff like that. Bronco is the head coach and calls the plays which is actually
not uncommon, there are quite a few head coaches that call plays either
offensively or defensively even though there is an actual coordinator for them,
nothing weird like the 3 different "coordinators" in utah's worst
in college football offense.I know you are "frantic and
emotional" over this, and I enjoy that, so please post something else as I
can't wait for another LOL!
Good for Ziggy.Although I agree with 54-10 that Detroit would NOT be a
very good team to get drafted to. I would really like to see a team like the
Seahawks trade up to snatch him away.
ConfusedU gots good engerlishes for someone who don'ts care
bouts klass time, but it is intrestin that skools schedul pro days during class
Duckhunter:"Of course BYU's is compeltely different, they
only have one defensive coordinator, there is no "co" there."No? Well if Howell is the DC, then why is Mendenmidmajor calling the
defensive plays? Sounds like a co-coordinator to me. "Funny stuff"
huh? I "LOL" at your so-very-busted hypocrisy.A
"tri"-coordinator would mean that we would have had 3 OCs. We only have
2. ARod only coordinates the passing game. If you were to do any actual
research over the past decade, you'd see that the majority of Utah's
plays on offense are running plays. Fail.IRS Agent:"Shout out to Chris B. and Naval Vet - 'obsessing over all things BYU
since 1995'."I commented at 11:07am, but had been addressed
personally by Duckhunter a half hour EARLIER. It's obvious the
"obsession" isn't me over the Y. It's Y fans over me. Haha!
Obama10,maybe the reason the "combine" is held during class time
is because the "combine" is ran by the NFL and not the NCAA... You think
that oould have something to do with it?
Who would have thought that a BYU player would be drafted higher than any U
player in this years draft. Just goes to show nothing is certain. Just when you
think you know it all, things change. Best of luck to Star and his family.Shout out to Chris B. and Naval Vet - "obsessing over all things BYU
since 1995". I know you guys are out there. One thing is certain no one
knows what will happen in the future.Mark it down. I
love your BCS membership. U must be giddy from all the success U are having in
the new conference. You have taken the Southern Division by storm. Now its on to
the conference championship and the Rose Bowl. Onward and upward. There's
no stopping U now.Be sure to let us know which post-season
basketball tournament the U is invited to. I would love to watch.
I still want to know why, if the NCAA is all about the
"student-athlete", than why is the combine held when school is still in
session? Most of those participants have not graduated, and all of them are
missing class. Just shows the hypocrisy of the NCAA. How is an
"amateur" suppose to pay $25K for training? We all know it is about the
money and making billions on the unpaid, "amateur",
"student-athlete". Good for Ziggy. Can't wait for the movie.
Ziggy typifies one of the few things still good about college sports. That,
even with the prospect of a million dollar pro contract, he would still go to
class instead of training for the NFL combine says volumes about his character.
If I ran a pro team and had the chance to draft him, he wouldn't be around
for the fifth pick. Ziggy will be a superstar in the NFL.
KVN/Hoff want to stomp UtahAnd it will happen on September 21st.Even your bowl game will be a disaster in 2013.
Ziggy's is a great story for an even greater person.------naval dudeWhat exactly does Ziggy's projected draft
position have to do with the latest coaching shuffles at BYU and Utah?Just another frantic and emotional attempt to change topics.
Happy for Ziggy, sad to hear he may go to the Lions. They have been bad for a
long time and as an organization? Not good.
lint, I wasn't in tulsa I just had better stuff going on. And yes I am
still laughing at utah's 'offensive coordinator' trifecta, funny
stuff.Of course BYU's is compeltely different, they only have
one defensive coordinator, there is no "co" there. Then they have a head
coach that calls plays. Nice try at comparing the trainwreck on the hill to the
properly run program down south though. LOL!
@Duckhunter, Do you know the last graduating class to sweep the
"former" rivalry? Our seniors are about to do it. How does that make
lintBronco brought back an OC who helped lead BYU to four straight
10+ win seasons (11-2, 11-2, 10-3, 11-2) and four straight Top 25 finishes,
plus, he named a co-defensive coordinator to take over some of the DC duties.Whit demoted a failing, unqualified kid from OC to co-OC, even though,
the new OC will actually be in charge of the offense, and the kid will be
nothing more than a tag along. It's unclear what Utah's third OC will
Duckhunter:I see you're obsession with me and my opinion of
your Indy-WACey school continues. Naturally.Where have you been
these past few days? I noticed you didn't "LOL" about the
dual-coordinator position for your defense. I thought you called Utah's
dual-coordinator position "funny stuff". So what happened? Were you on
another business trip to Tulsa that day and missed the article?
Good Luck Ziggy...especially off-the-field. Represent your faith in all aspects
of your life.
As Whoa Nellie said, interesting movie. Can picture the scene of Ziggy showing
up to the combine in street clothes and asking "what's up? What would
you like me to do?"
"According to NFL network analyst Daniel Jeramiah, Ansah is currently
projected to drafted fifth overall by the Detroit Lions."That
would be an absolute death blow to christina and the lint. LOL!
Ziggy is the anti-thesis of the athlete-student world of college athletes.
This "made-for-movies" story just keeps getting better and better. I
hope he has great success in the NFL and especially his private life.
"Ansah spent most of his time focusing on his class work at BYU instead of
preparing for the combine..."Ziggy continues to impress me more
and more. Instead of being like many NFL prospects and completely blowing off
his classes as soon as football season ended, Ziggy remained grounded and
committed to his education.
