This should be an easy win vs LMU.
I'm looking forward to the rematch against St Mary's. Although St Mary's got the two regular season wins, the teams look pretty evenly matched. Against St Mary's, I would start Winder and have him stick like glue to Della.
I was hoping Rose would address why Carlino didn't play much in the 2nd half of the Gonzaga game. Was it just because he was ineffective? Or was there some other reason?
Carlino's play is raising the question of who will start at point next year. It could be Kyle Collinsworth, which is his desired position. Could Carlino play better at the 2?
Kyle Collinsworth played mostly the 3 when he was here as a freshman. He's about the same build as Zylstra is. I also think that despite some inconsistencies and the occasional poor decisions, Carlino's passing is actually quite good, and I think he is still better suited to play the 1.
The 3 kids coming in from Lone Peak will certainly add competition for some positions. Could you imagine next years team with the LP boys and Jabari Parker. Oh well, it's fun to dream! Still think the Cougs will win the WCC tourney. There I go dreaming again!
