With the sponsor's logic, if we just put a tax on illegal drugs, then their cost would go up and we would fix the drug problem?
If Utah does anything about liquor sales, it should be to privatize it and let the free market work and supply and demand set prices. Of course, the state would still collect their taxes, but avoid all the other overhead from running a business. If state run liquor business is good, why not state run car dealerships- after all cars kill a lot of people?
