Weak showing by Region 8 in the State Tournament..0-4. The Tigers were over rated!
I choose to look at it as a very strong showing by Region 5 with teams having to play hard fought games every time out. Good job Logan, MC, Roy and Sky View.
This is a great quote from the Orem coach in another newspaper:
“Overall, it unfolded according to plan, except that we lost,” Holt said.
UCAggie, if you really want to split hairs, region 5 went 5-0, because of the play-in game for logan vs provo. overall good day for region 5.
Hats off to region 5. There are some good coaches and fine players up there. they all were well prepared and executed their stuff in each game. Impressive day of basketball by north county teams!
I just realized if both MC and Logan win their games in a few days it will be round 3 for those teams this season in the Semi-Finals. That's really cool and all I can say is take it to em Mustangs. As well as if MC and SV get to and win their Semi-Final games it will be an all Cache Valley championship. Again take it to em Mustangs. Both potential games sound awesome. Or Logan but again I'd prefer MC over Logan all the way.
