Students should from Pleasant Grove should get a refund for their ticket! im a student there and i showed up at 5:30 for this reason. Showing up for 2 minutes of the game is not enough to charge them to get in. give them a refund if they came late!!!!!
The location is horrible. Hold the state basketball tournament at the E Center every year. Way better facility!
I don't understand why the UHSAA can't leave the tourney in Salt Lake where the majority of the teams can get to without a bunch of problems. The one nice thing is that you don't get nicked to park like you do at the E Center. If the UHSAA would find a place in SLC where you don't have to pay to park that would be ideal.
I am curious why a NON-BASKETBALL arena is better than one that is built for the sport. Other than the fact that people further south can access it better. There are plenty of basketball fans in Logan, that don't want to drive to Salt Lake either. I prefer watching basketball games at a facility that was built for it. As a player I am pretty sure they enjoy it more also. I agree that traffic was crazy, but you can't control a guy being on a high speed chance that ends in a shoot-out. Nor can you control accidents.
The Maverik Center is not a better basketball facility because it isn't a basketball facility. Weber State is a perfect venue for playing and watching basketball. Keep it there every year. Or alternate with the Huntsman Center as it used to be held there all the time.
