As a young adult I read the story of some saintly person who devoted a life to helping those with Hansen's bacillus. I've never forgotten the story (though I've forgotten the details), and I hope funding will be forthcoming, if this test proves effective on a mass scale. The suffering of these victims is heart-breaking, and I commend anyone who is working to alleviate suffering in any way. It is wonderful when it has the potential for alleviating suffering for countless individuals.
