This one game seems to have attracted a lot of drama. First, postponed because of the collapse of a player. Then, the winning shot made by a guy who for obvious and understandable reasons had a hard time keeping his head in the game.
Basketball and other sports are just games which we sometimes take too seriously. But they certainly can serve as a momentary distraction from the rigors and stresses of the world.
Craig Cusick is a hero in more ways than one! What a brave young man to keep that all inside and play that game last night. On top of that, he made the winning shot. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Craig, and pray that your dad will be okay. God bless you!
Listened to him on ESPN. Nice kid, congrats to him. Sports is often times the best release from emotional strain, and that had to be a huge moment for him.
Good luck to the Cusick family. Nice that he could end a terrific day celebrating and grieving at his dad's side. Hang in there, thanks for being a positive example to us all.
What a fine young man. I am sure his father will be blessed. I would be proud of him as my son.
Prayers with the family.
I know the Berger family and they too are a great family.
PS great shot!
Awesome interview, nice job Cusick, best of luck to your family.
It's so great that he and his Dad could have this moment of triumph in the middle of such a tough day. What a great example of faith and courage!
Winning is great. Winning with players of Cusick's maturity and character is beyond great. Your national interviews blew people away. Thanks Craig and the best to your father.
Very inspiring! A game, moment & memory that Father & Son will treasure forever.
Good luck to the Cusick family.
If anywhere in the world can work with this cancer it's Huntsman. My mother is undergoing colon cancer treatments there now and I can't imagine her being anywhere but Huntsman.
Did they mention that Cusick is a walk-on?
