They need to be punished the same way as they have treated these animals, hay is up to 14 Dollars here and if they can't afford to take care of the herd, sell!! or give away to a good home that WILL take care of them

Unbelieveable. No excuses. If they couldn't feed the animals they should have sold them or contacted the humane society for assistance. They deserve no sympathy from me or the courts.

Hay is averaging $8 a bale and an average horse takes a 1/4 of a bale a day. $2 x 100 head of horses is $200 a day x 30 days = $6,000 a month to feed. How inept are these people with their business sense. They better start selling a lot of these horses so they can afford to take care of what they have. I bet they are the ones advertising to take anyones horse for free and think they can sell them and make a quick buck! Dumb people!

What excuse can be offered for this? These people should never be allowed to own or board anamials again for life and they should recieve the maximum sentence possible. It makes me hurt to read this article.
