Show up tomorrow utes! If you can't support our team 7 days a week, don't call yourself a true fan. I hope for many Sunday games. Great day for family sporting events.
Lets rock the place and cheer our way to a top 10 win!
Utah 68
Arizona 64
Storming the court, mark it down!
Come on utes, show up! Lets show our support for what the team is doing.
With a close loss on the road against Arizona, got to like our chances at home. When we are on, we can hang with anyone.
"If you can't support our team 7 days a week, don't call yourself a true fan."
Sorry, Chris B, but you're an embarrassment to all true Utah fans.
Good luck to the Utes tomorrow, but I, like thousands of faithful Utes, have higher priorities than attending a basketball game on the Sabbath.
"If you can't support our team 7 days a week, don't call yourself a true fan."
So it's no longer possible to be a true Utah fan if you're not willing to abandon silly religious beliefs?
Crissy,
Zona 73 and Utah 58. Mark it down. The combined score of the two teams will match the total attendance. I agree UFan. You are an embarrassment to ALL true Utah fans. In fact, I'm not sure you are so much of a Utah fan as you are of a BYU hater that uses these chat lines to spew.
C'mon... Don't bring religious judgements into the conversation... He is not an embarrassment... He just doesn't think that god actually cares if you watch a game on Sunday... which he doesn't...
TrueUte1, Yes Chris B is an embarrassment to fans of any school and especially the University of Utah. As for whether God cares, yes he does and he has said so. "Keep the Sabbath day Holy." I don't think you have the authority to say he said different.
The scriptures tell us: "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
Now if you see the UofU basketball team as fatherless or as widows you may have a point in visiting them in their affliction.
Boy - 2 in a row would be something special.
Has utah scored 68 points yet this year?
Rough day for Chris B.
Utah hasn't scored over 64 against a PAC team. No way U score 68 against the Wildcats. Good luck, but I think the Cats are going to be very intense after their two losses. This could be a blowout.
God is fine with Sunday games!
@SLCWATCH,
pretty high and mighty this Sunday morning aren't you? - "embarrassment to fans of any school". I guess your idea of keeping the Sabbath is blogging on a silly sports article. Regardless, I will be at the game.
Go Utes!

How ridicules. When did you become a true fan? A true fan also supports his/her team during bad times not just good:
"I just dont care about Ute basketball. Ya it would be nice if they were great. But they're not. Until then, I still see the football team..." -- Chris B (8:45 a.m. Jan. 30, 2013)
Will be watching the game online. Lets get a BIG win! Go Utes!
I am amused by the comments of some people who comment on the U of U playing games on Sunday. The irony of people complaining about Sunday games to a newspaper that is published on Sunday is amazing. Do the 6 day a week fans also decline to watch televised sports on Sunday television? Do they decline to support any athletes or any business that has its employees work on Sunday?
@ray vaughn,
Great post! Its like they think God is ok with them watching sports from their home on Sundays, but somehow going with your famly and seeing it in person becomes evil?
Um, no. God doesn't care whethere you watch, don't watch, watch from home, watch from the Huntsman Center. He simply does not care.
Can you say PIPE DREAM!
