It's an easy decision Bronson--football! The basketball team is going nowhere this year and your being on the team will not change that, so go to spring football practice. We need a real spring football camp, not another absentee camp with nobody but second and third stringers participating. You have no future in basketball, you do have a future in football.

Basketball season is over get back to football

Provo, ut

I hope he finishes the basketball season, picking up where he left off as defensive end won't be that big of a deal.

So an athlete has to make a decision about whichy sport to play when?

Is this really news????? Really????

Saint George, UT

I couldnt blame him for finishing bball season. He has a chance, very small but still a chance, to play in the NCAA tournament. Most college bball players never get to do that..

I agree with dumprake and couglifer, this is a no-brainer...get back to football. Basketball season is pretty much over, and Kaufusi's contributions to the team, at this point, won't make any difference to the outcome of the season. Get the pads back on and get ready for what we hope to be an exciting football season this fall.

Easy decision for him. Yes, he is a presense "when" he's in a game, but his playing time is so minimal. He should then devote his time to the football team. That's where his bright future lays.

News, in the world of sports, is anything fans might be interested in.

The fact that you opened the article and then commented on it is proof that even a troll found this newsworthy.

Football is providing his scholorship and he only plays a few minutes per game in basketball, he should move over to football. Easy decision. It's very difficult to be a two sport athlete in basketball and football in college.

Basketball season is not over but he was recuited to play football. Go back now because you need to be where you left off. Just hope we don't see aoother one of those like what happened with Chris C. and Stephen R. It was too bad they had to end this but Dave Rose were short on this season rosters. Will Bronson K. come back next season which I think would be nice to have with another bulk body but it is unlikely. We will have all of our players be ready to play 2013-14 bb season.

Wait, he's not playing baseball? It seems like the skills learned in football and basketball would transfer nicely to that sport.

His presence on the basketball team will matter little now. If they had any chance of going to the big dance, I'd say stay, but the way it is, go back to football. The basketball team's woes will not be fixed this year. Need some true leadership at point guard. Maybe a new PG will make a difference next year.

I'm a Utah fan and I think he needs to give up this, Utah County dream, of playing with his friends! He has a future in the NFL not in the NBA!

I'd rather see him take a charge in the WCC tournament than charge a quarterback in March.

SLC gal,
Great post!!

Salt Lake City, UT

Play in the WCC tourney, Bronson.

Missing a couple of spring practices isn't a big deal.

Hurricane, UT

played baseball with Leon White...he played baseball to not have to do spring football....worked out for him nicely!!!!! Kaufusi will be fine if he misses a few spring practices.

How I see it, it is his decision not ours.

I do not see the world ending or things happening either way. He is a big boy let's all support his decision and not question it.

If you do question it and or really think you know best for someone else please post the things you are making decisions on and then let us all post as to what you should do. Guessing no one would agree on that either. Nor would you listen or care.

Wish I could have played at the college level. Let alone at 2 sports. And to the gal who wanted him to play Baseball I am betting he is good at that too.

Good luck to him.
