my wife promised me a new .40 cal Smith and Wesson semi auto if I could sit through the entire state of the union - and with the volume up of all things!! I tried to explain to her that the true definition of cruel and unusual punishment ...even torture was having to watch and listen to Barack Obama for 60 minutes. Even 5 minutes would give me flu like symptoms. I talked her down to 30 seconds after she realized that she would also be required to be in the room with me watching!!

The President reporting on the state of the Union to Congress is required by the Constitution. I don't think that turning the occasion into an interactive game is quite what the founders had in mind.

"Today I'm pledging to cut the deficit we inherited by half by the end of my first term in office," Obama said. "Now, this will not be easy. It will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we've long neglected. For those unaware(running from reality), the deficit increased.

Well the obama’s can drag in all their liberal heros and so called victims that they want to because we TeaPublicans can counter all of them with Ted Nugent, a TRUE American ‘Patriot”!

After reviewing the charts from this insta-poll, I noticed 4 significant items.
1. there is no noticable difference between Republicans and Independants in how they respond to Obama.
2. While there seems to be a huge discrepency between Repubs and Dems, the only real difference was in the degree of response. the same peaks and valley in both cases.
3. The one clear variance between Dems and Repubs was the gun control issue.
4. There was no appreciable difference responses between men and women.

So, it occurs to me that so long as everyone was honest about their political affiliation, we Americans are really not as divided as our elected officials and our media outlets would like us to believe.
