From Jr. Jazz to Church basketball to the NBA its always most fun to win. Good luck to the Cougs the rest of the season.
Nice feel good story, after a terrible week when there's so many other more pertinent issues Harmon could right about, even some on the more insightful/in-depth side of what's contributing to this late season team melt-down. But I guess that's not really news. Another low-lying fruit article.
Late season melt down has to do with not being able to defend off the dribble -- Everybody has to help out so much it leaves shooters unguarded.
Ninth paragraph, last sentance, really says everything when it comes to competing, in/at any level in life. How many of us can say we've ever been there? How many get to experiance the thrill of knowing that you're the best? Isn't that really what keeps us all going, chasing the dream, the unimaginable?
I'm home sick with the flu and have been taking perscribed medication, so if my post seems a little out there, cut me some slack.
First page, 12th paragraph: Mark Jackson is NOT one of the top 50 players of all time (as voted on by an official panel of experts years ago).
Nice article. I welcome that chance to get to know the assistants in all aports.
Not too impressed with the Cougars' inside progress this year. I hope Pope improves as a coach. Haven't seen much yet!
Seems like a "nice man," but his job is to develop players and win games too!
Hope he figures out how to use his experience to BYU's advantage.
Yes, a nice story, but there is nothing that will make up for the devastating disappearing act the Cougar men have pulled off in the last 8 games. Anyone want some center court tickets? This season is done, trashed and forgetable...if only I can. Not one win of any meaning except Utah and then only because it was their best game of the year...then they disappear and make the win worthless.
Utah State is a loss. Chalk it up. St Mary's will be a joke. Gonzaga will be a joke, just no answer for the big man. In fact, I wouldn't be sad if Rose just forfeited all the rest of the games. We will win Portland, maybe. If they beat the crap out of Haws and chuck up every open 3 they see, maybe not. The WCC officials have no clue how to ref. They are worse at that than BYU is at defending the perimeter. Secret to beating BYU? 1-- Knock Haws to the ground 3/4 times until some ref has the guts to blow his whistle. Then repeat. 2- Double team Davies 40 minutes. 3-Allow everyone else wearing Blue to freely shoot.
