So, we're writing articles about second place region finishes now? Sorry first place, you don't have a personal writer on staff apparently.

Thank you DesNews for the coverage of a good sports story. The WHS team continued to work hard and despite a tough start to the season have just won home court advantage in the 3A playoffs. Obviously it would have been nice to win the region. Judge is an excellent team, as are the other team in our region. We wish the region well and hope to have a different result than getting swept by region 9 like last year.

We hope to have more coverage for Wasatch sports as the school is moving to 4A this next year and has a solid sports program (as evidenced by the recent 3A Boys and Girls swimming state championships).

If you follow desnews at all you would know that they have a weekly Judge Mememorial article. They get more coverage than most 4a and 5a schools. Its nice to have an article on another 3a school. I'd be afraid of another region 10 sweep though. I hope it doesn't happen though

Jazzaddict- Um ya, it's called winning! When you are in First place you get lots of coverage. Weird, but I haven't read an article about your swim teams all year until they both take state, but a couple of region second places and you get 2 stories. I personally don't care, I just thought it strange that there was no story about the region winner, rather the team that came in second.

Perhaps the reason the Wasatch/Union game was newsworthy was that its outcome determined who would represent the region as the 2nd place. Regardless we are pleased with the coverage.
Hopefully the entire region will have more success than last years state playoff run. Wouldn't it be nice if Judge and Wasatch win on their home courts in the first round (in rematches of last year Judge/Dixie and Wasatch/Cedar)
Congratulations to the Judge basketball team. They've proven to be the best team in region 10. They are well coached and clearly are still one of the favorites for a state championship (despite Neville's injury). Let's just hope that region 9 does not sweep the event again this year....
