In a world where such a precious treasure as virtue is not charished, this story of a virtuous woman helps us understand why her price is greater than rubies (Proverbs 31:10), and she is a crown to her husband (Proverbs 12:4)
What a horrible idea, that she should be willing to sacrifice her life to protect something that only she can give. No one can take another's virtue, it can only be given.
