This is an obvious pander to the tree-hugging, sustainability green agenda of people that were born in the wrong generation. Typically they want everyone to use a bicycle or stay home. They forget that vehicles were invented and have made this country as free and great as about anything else. They would love to have only horses and buggies to get around.
Of course, the liberals also want higher "taxes, feews, or charges" to fund their angenda.
Maybe some of these intolerant free thinkers should come west and take a long hike on a gravel road and get good and thirsty but not be allowed to travel in a car to get to water. Perhaps that would give them pause.....but then again, it probably wouldn't.
Why not let the free market decide? It's like parking at a football game: You can park closer for more money, or farther away for less money. The consumer can decide which is more valuable. If time is more valuable than money, you can park close by and pay a lot. If money is more valuable than time, you can park far away for cheap and walk a long ways. Why does a solution have to be forced upon us?
