They "appeared" to have gunshot wounds to the head? I think you either have gunshot wounds to the head, or you don't. But appearing to leads me to believe they do. Boy, these stories give me the willies. How could someone do that.
It is also possible a third person was in the vehicle, shot both in such a manner that it would look like a murder-suicide. Need to check the identity of the two victims and see if they have any relatives that are in or were in the LAPD.
They didn't mention any gun in the vehicle. That's probably why they appeared to have gunshot wounds.
