NIT is the best place for this team. Gain some experience - play some extra games at home. NCAA is another one and done for this team.

Missing 10 free throws is worse than ward ball. Time to re-earn their scholarships with 50 hours of free throw practice. Absolutely pathetic.

Tough game to watch tonight... It almost seems like these guys don't practice free throw shooting at all...

Brief Opinions on the BYU Bunch:

Matt Carlino... was a liability tonight... little penetration, 3 pt shots out of his range, poor ball handling... a D tonight.

Brandon Davies... Good back to the basket guy at 6'9", horrible free throw shooter (poor technique...costs him 5 pts a game... falls away from the basket)... Good Defender and Rebounder... B-.

Tyler Haws... Good Offensive night... Needs to go into the defender inside instead of fade or straight up... Free Throw shooting weak (compared to his ability) Defense avg... B.

Zylstra... No Confidence, Out of control sometimes, good shooting technique, can be a liability... D.

Nate Austin... Again, no confidence, weak free throw shooting, Flops way too much and needs to stay on his feet... Defense Avg to Good... C-.

Sharp... Alot of improvement this year but again, needs confidence in this shot... C.

Winder... Needs more minutes... Has strong potential... C.

Cusick... Plays to his level of ability pretty well... C.

The NCAA Basketball Tourney streak will end at 6 this year... NIT (maybe)... BYU will also miss their 25 Wins Objective. Sad.

Yes, this team is not an NCAA team for sure. But I can't see them getting more than one home game in the NIT. What is going on with Carlino and his out of control play? This poor point guard play kills BYU's chances to win big games. Is Zylstra really better than Winder? AND---- this team is way to soft.

I think Zylstra is the Riley Nelson of the basketball team. Winder needs more minutes and Carlino needs a head slap when he plays like he did last night. NIT is the best BYU can hope for and if they play like last night even then its a one and done.
