So it looks like thevAnderson kid from Logan will be the new Riley. What is it about Cache,Valley that Bronco can't resist?

I think Green will be the new Riley. Bronco says he is tough but does not mention if he can throw. Sounds like Riley all over again.

It's pretty awesome in February to win and get so many awesome players.

Hey folks, Kyle Van Noy was the "Riley Nelson" of the Defense at one point. Bronco gave him a chance and believed in him. I'd say it paid off pretty well. USU was tickled to have Anderson coming as long as Gary was the coach. Chasen would clearly have been more highly recruited had he not looked like a lock for USU due to the coach's connection. He is clearly a very talented kid. With the stable of linebackers BYU continues to produce, there is no guarantee that Chasen ever starts, but there is nothing I would love more than to see the kid excel at BYU. By the way, before "Riley Nelson" becomes synonymous with illogical loyalty and favoritism, remember that Riley left every thing he had on the field every day. He does not deserve to be the poster child for ill-conceived notions of unearned loyalty. Yes, I was at Notre Dame, but in addition to watching that painful miss to Hoffman, I watched a warrior help his team nearly down the top team (at the time) in the country. Step out of your self-interested armchairs just long enough to enjoy the game.

I think with these recruits we could go undefeated.

I want to enjoy the game! But what BYU world did you grow up in, where we produce bad throwing QB's???

Then bronco recruits taysom, who also cant throw very well.

BYU fans, and alumni, wanna see the pass offense. Nothing else. Why doesnt Bronco get that??????

Riley Nelson was 12-0 against mid majors,
But then he was 0-8 against good teams.. ha When i had heard he was tranfering to BYU I WAS not excited about it.

BYU averaged 28.7 this season.
its 5 loses
21 at UTAh
6 at BOISE ST
24 at Home to OSU
14 AT ND
14 at SJSU

Oh and only 6 against USU. we got way lucky that game.
6 games against in my opinion quality oponents
14.1 points per game.

If we dont have Riley against UTAH, we win, against ND we win ,

Ddid the kid try his hardest and give his all, YES.
But this is Division 1 football.
We need better talent at QB.

Im not excited for Taysom, Here comes another 8-4 BYU team. playin in the san diego bow again.
wow

Binghamalum,

You need to get out more. Go watch Taysom throw this spring. He has a cannon for an arm, runs a 4.5 and is 6 2 and 220 lbs. He's going to absolutely rock it this year. He didn't get much opportunity to show off his throwing skills last year running Doman's version of offense. Might as well have been running the wishbone. Can't wait to throw this back in Earnest and Mildred's faces in the fall. The future is bright in Provo.

Snark:

Notre Dame wasn't the top team at the time. There were in fact four teams ahead of them. I agree with binghamalum up until the Taysom Hill comments. Taysom has a rocket for an arm and, like former BYU great Steve Young can run. I believe Anae will bring a more throwing type offense to protect the QB, but Taysom can take off if a play breaks down. He's gonna be good and I can't wait!
