Great win! Best win any team in the state has this year!
What Utah has proven this year is we are terribly inconsistent. We've also proven we can play with any team in the country.
I like the future of this program! Go Utes!
Always nice to get a win against our rivals! One thing byu and Utah fans have in common: our rivals are members of the prestigious Pac 12 conference
You're right Chris....Utah can play with the best inconsistent teams in the country. It's the consistent teams that give them problems.
Congrats!
Not the best finish, but probably the most solid win of the year considering one of our best players was out. Hope to have Loveridge back and the other guys ready to step up again next week. J.O. is turning into a key contributor at the most crucial time in the season. Bachynski didn't score, but I was very pleased with the production he had in the minutes he got, great to have him back and playing as a team player.
Whew!
@ Chris B
What this has proven is that a team that can win while not scoring in the final ten minutes are that it's a dog fight in the basement. AND....that Colorado is now your new rival. So do all of us a favor and limit your inflammatory rhetoric to them and leave the other teams in the state alone. They're above your league for sure.
@toosmart,
Until byu fans accept that they are a nobody in basketball and a nobody in football, I'll continue to remind them. Utah State fans have accepted and acknowledge they area "second tier" program in both basketbll and football. byu fans would do well to do the same.
@ Chris B
You lose credibility any and every time you post. "Best win any team in the state has this year!" is just an example. How's your mighty PAC 12 record so far in basketball and football? Anyone that thinks it's stellar has delusions of grandeur. You're the biggest cheer-leader in the country for a weak, irrelevant, non-competitive program that can't beat anyone in the conference worth playing. Losing to Colorado in SLC in football is just the tip of the ice berg. Enjoy the basement.
@ toosmartforyou
I agree that Chris is ridiculous, but I think he is right when he said that the CU is the best win any team in the state has had so far this year.
None of the Big 5 have been very impressive so far.
Whoa Nelly!!!
I've never seen a team get the jitters like we did at the 7 minute mark! No one could shoot, pass or dribble. Need to work on full court offense...embarrassing and unprepared. But on the other hand, we haven't seem full court pressure all year and it probably surprised everyone when it happened.
Good news? Young players looked great... Future is bright.

LOL! LOL fer sure because we all know Ducky cares about everything Ute!
Congrats Utes on a nice win. Hopefully, both the Y and the U can finish the season strong.
Just a thought provoking quote for all those Ute and Y haters alike.
Comparison is the thief of joy.
Saw it on a marquee and I think it applies to us all.
Enjoy the taste of victory.
Great post, OCoug. Good luck to your boys the rest of the way
