Today’s young people should give us hope that the lessons of love, compassion and acceptance are taking root. I have seen many stories in the last few years, and have heard a number of first-hand accounts, of kids being kind and inclusive to the misfits and often marginalized.
When I was a kid these stories seemed few and far between. Mostly the kids who were not cool and popular were simply ignored, but often they were picked on, teased, and (from their perspective) tormented. I’m sure this still goes on to a degree, but in talking to today’s youth it feels like a sea change is underway.
Love is really the answer to almost every human problem.
But it's also in very short supply.
