Kudos to Jonathon Boldt for understanding how important Boyce is to this team. His vision and volleyball intelligence on the court is what leads to one-on-one kill attempts and high hitting percentages for the middles. It also sounds like he is a good guy too. The setter really is the quarterback of the team: he calls the plays, and has to anticipate defensive movements in the other side, but he never really gets recognition. The coach is right when he says how nice it is to have someone so emotionally mature on the court as an anchor. We have the best setter in the country, so thank you to Boldt for giving him some props.
I hope Boyce keeps the mustache.
