Way to go Jazz for barely grinding out a win against a great Hornet team.
Al Jefferson is a joke! Watching him lazily play on offense, and then miss every defensive opportunity. A starting center should grab more than 5 boards in a game. I would NEVER trust him as a "go to guy". He is inconsistent at best! I like Corbin, but basing his offensive assault on Jefferson's ability is a frightening thought. My friend asked me why we don't play a straight up man defense-and i had to explain to him that the only hope we have is to use a helping defense, because Jefferson will never put an effort out there. Even in help, Millsap has to cover his and Jefferson's area. On offense, Jefferson looks like a 5 year old playing offense-watching the ball move around and then be shot. If it does come to him, just know he will shoot it regardless of the shot quality or whether or not someone was open. Jefferson needs to be on the trading block. PERIOD. In the excuse of a game the other night, Kanter in 10 minutes of play matched Jefferson. I love my jazz, but jefferson insults what it means to be a part of Jazz Nation
Sadly, barely beating the worst team in the league is not a positive sign. If this is a harbinger of the worst to come, it will come quickly. It looks like the Bigs with the expiring contracts have run out of gas. Favors is there ready to go every night. He is young and aggressive. It is time to pack the vacation van and head for Yellowstone and work on how to use the salary cap. If Mo Williams does not get back soon, the "beginning of the end" is now.
