The UofU doesn't need a school newspaper -- it has the DNEws doing all its propaganda... that according to the U of U whiners who complained that the story on Dennis Pitta was pandering to BYU and it now no longer needed its own paper.
Gad the comments on these boards are absurd.
To the point of the article... it is impressive how many U players are in the pros and particularly on the Ravens. Quite a feather in the Ute headress. Congrats. And with Dennis Pitta... a bunch of rivals are pulling for the Ravens!
It's nice to see Utah, and BYU, players playing in the Super Bowl. Somewhat more impressive is that 3 former Utes start on the Dolphins Defense. Quite a few Utes in the NFL; let's keep the pipe line flowing.
Rockon - You complain about Utah trollers and you do the same thing as the first comment of this story? "Gad the comments on these boards are absurd." Hmmmmmm
Go Ravens!
Awesome notoriety for the state. The U and the Y have someone that could make an impact in the Super Bowl. If Kap does go down with injury, Alex Smith could be the key to the 49ers success.
By my count, there are 4 former Utes suiting up for this game, with only Kemoeatu having not played in a BCS bowl game. Only Miami -- with 7 former Hurricanes taking the field -- will have more alumni taking the field. Utah ties for 2nd-most with Ohio St, Oklahoma St, Oregon, and Texas.
If you want to stay in state and make the NFL, go to the U of U.
In the last 5 years:
Utah players drafted: 13
BYU players drafted: 4
In the last 10 years:
Utah players drafted: 25
BYU players drafted: 12
