Well, when 47% of the country pays 0 income tax, thats a problem.
You can't have 100% of the people taking and only half contributing.
More money is being spent each year then is taken in, to the tune of roughly a trillion dollars. Who in their right minds would borrow more money then they make year after year, with no plans to stop. Why then are we letting government do the same.
We need upwards of a trillion dollar tax increase to cover the yearly budget and to start paying off the debt.
(only then will we see the true burden that government is causing in the lives of working people)
Expanding government is a perpetual crutch to society, weakening values of hard work, personal responsibility and looking after and helping those who need a hand up.
It takes away peoples freedom to choose, because Big Brother knows best. He knows what should be done with your money, and therefore thinks it has a right to take more of it from you. He knows who should be taxed and who should get a pass. Big Brother knows who needs a hand out.
The people aren't to be trusted, a inmoral society is the perfect breeding ground for a government take over. And thats precisely what those who are looking for more control want.
