What happened to the Running Utes? They may want to change their name to the dribble-it-out Utes. I am NOT a Utah fan but I would like to see them play well against everyone but BYU. It is good for the state.

Bottom line is Utah needs to get rid of this boring, pass-it-30-times-before-we-shoot offense and start RUNNING when they have the chance. Only scoring 65 ppg isn't enough to beat most teams unless U have such a fantastic defense that you can completely shut down every opponent offensively. The Utes are 2-9 this season when scoring their season average of 65 points or less; winless against teams that have scored more than 70 points.

I agree with motorbike - Utah couldn't do anything to stop Stanford. Every thing they threw up seemed to go in. Any time Utah would make a couple of shots and get a stop or two, Stanford would answer with a number of 3 point shots.

Bottom line is that the Utes need a few more guys who can shoot. It wouldn't hurt to get more height as well. Last night's game proved that point all too well. Our 6'4" guys couldn't get a rebound over their 6'10" guys. It was pretty brutal.

I hope they can regroup and play better this Saturday.

    Go Utes!

Definitely a low point of the season. Even though there are some things that Utah can fix and do better than they did last night, the truth is that Stanford matched up extremely well with Utah. There didn't seem to be a lineup Utah could throw out there that would change the mismatches in height and in athleticism.
Bottom line, I believe in the coaching staff 100%, but it's still going to take time to build the program with more athletes and scoring power - especially to compete at a PAC-12 level.
Here's to hoping that a week to get ready for Colorado will do the team and the coaches some good.
    Go Utes!

More Ute fans are commenting on BYU basketball that on Utah's running Utes. What's there to say? Coach Kryst had better find a realtor.
