@J-TX.. Congratulations to TX for not signing on to CC, one of only 3 states.
But, to your other point on spending... in my school district, we have 90% pass rate in AP Calc for the past 20+ years. It was an amazing program started in our HS by some teachers who did the work to coordinate the building blocks that needed to happen all the way down through the lower grades.
This is an example of a great locally run program that is being thrown out by the state when with the Common Core curriculum.
