Congratulations to her. I know a lot of people who would love to be this active and love to be able see the world like she has... most cant afford it. Yes I'm jealous !
Let me get this right. You consciously and voluntarily put yourself in harms way and then get praise for using your faith to help you get through it. Is there something wrong with this process? What if I jay walked across the freeway? Am I worthy of praise for exercising my faith or only if I do it when I'm old?
@over50, Just a thought, not trying to change your mind. Life is an adventure. Daily we are faced with issues, stress, whether self inflicted, choices of others or just things that happen out of our control. Faith and prayer can help in any situation. If we do our part Pray, have Faith and love those around us, the Lord will do his part.
Sister Barbara Anderson congradulations on your active life as a 76 yr.old. I am also 76 yrs.old and enjoy a active life as a Scoutmaster,Cyclist,hiker. I climb MT.Whitney. Mt Langly and the John Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevadas in California. I believe it a blessing to be able to do the things you love. I have no secret formula for the ability to do things that I can do. I believe my membership in the LDS Church has been a great impact on my life and I pray that I will continue to be blessed as I continue my journey through life. Sincerely, Brother Trenton Spears
Sounds like great fun to me. I'd like to be as active, but don't have the determination. I can still admire what people like Barbara Anderson do, and at least try to get enough things going in my day to do some good somewhere.
