Take care of the ball.

It's getting old! Digressing is an ugly thing...

The first article I've seen this season without a Jason Washburn comment. And he lead the team in scoring. Connection?

Disappointing game. This team is so much more skilled then they were a year or even two years ago but they just can't seem to find any consistency from game to game. 15 turnovers in the first half is inexcusable and made it impossible to stay in the game. I'm not sure how many possessions they had in the first half but that had to be close to half of them when they were just throwing the ball away. That needs to be fixed if they want to take the next step. Hopefully Sunday yields a better result.
Go Utes!!!

15 turnovers in the first half. No wonder. It was like Boylen Ball... lazy lazy passes, crazy cross court passes, and I bet I can sneak this ball through 6 defender hands passes. All easily intercepted and returned for scores.

Coach K locked that down in the 2nd half (only 2 turnovers). Utes need some work on end-of-game strategy. The arena announcer says "one minute remaining" and its as if the team hears "ten minutes". Down by 6 with a minute to go, you do not have time to do the usual get a shot off in 30 seconds. Be thinking "get it off in 10 seconds".

I don't think playing Stanford Sunday is going to change any result. As good as the Huntsman Center is for watching a game, why Sunday? Not coming this week.

I thought maybe the Utes had turned the corner in the Washington game, but I guess not. It's still looking like an 11 or 12 win season and an 11th or 12th place finish.

Last place in baseball, 2nd to last in football, and one of the bottom teams in basketball. Hopefully, U can figure out how to get this turned around.

"Down by 6 with a minute to go, you do not have time to do the usual get a shot off in 30 seconds. Be thinking "get it off in 10 seconds"."

When that's the offense that's been drilled into you every single practice, trying to adjust at crunch time is difficult to impossible.

Utah's slow-down offense is a "live by the sword, die by the sword" kind of thing. It helps keep the other team from scoring, by reducing possessions, but it also makes it difficult for Utah to mount a comeback when the Utes get down...

plus it's boring as... well you know.

Utah should stop marketing "Runnin' Utes" if this is the kind of offense k is going to stick with, because it's false advertising. There's absolutely no "run" in Utah's offense.

cougfan first of all baseball hasn't even started. 2nd we beat BYU in football and we finished 9th place not 2nd to last. Third you've been talking crap on the Utes all season and nothing you said has been accurate. I remember you telling everybody that the Utes were lucky to win 5-6 games the whole season and they did that the first 8 games of the season. Sure things aren't looking the best but if this team could finish games strong you could be looking at a 16-3 5-2 but they can't and there record has suffered for it. There 0-7 in games that have came down to the last 30 seconds. So in all please be accurate with your statements.

Go Utes

One way the Utes could "turn it around" is to join the WCC in basketball and go Indy in football? Or join the Big Sky in football? Lowering the competition sometimes makes a bad team optically better...

Do you like that idea?

Nice idea but your suggestion wouldn't make any difference.
