One of the more idiotic pieces of legislation. I'm sure there will be more.
If the legislature wants to do some actual good, they ought to pass a law making assault on a sports official a Class A Misdemeanor with civil penalties as well as criminal ones. Also increase assault on a cop from Class A to 3rd degree felony.
Another law needed because people just don't have any common sense.
