Right out of the script of "RM"!
Could it be that Elder Hinds is busy doing the Lord's work by bringing Brett Favre into the BYU fold?
I wonder if Troy Hinds is looking at next years byu graduating class and seeing their record against the best teams they played in their 4 year career:
Utah: 0-3 soon to be 0-4
TCU: 0-3
Florida State 0-2
Boise 0-1
Texas 0-1
Notre Dame 0-1
Troy, we'll welcome you to the red when you change your mind.
Alice Cooper is a Mormon too!
Chirs B:
Got a BYU fetish?
LC
christina I'm sure that if Troy decides he wants to be on a losing team and get to spend the holidays at home that he will make that move.
@Chris B - "Troy, we'll welcome you to the red when you change your mind."
chrissy - I don't think Troy wants to sit at home in December watching other teams play. U may want to start worrying about Langi and Hansen. There's a much better chance that they transfer to BYU after their missions than Hinds coming to Utah.
There are times while watching the evening news, when they share a story about a woman and her spectacular high flying cat, and that is when I realize that "they are really hurting for news". I had the same realization towards this story. BYU Football strategically releases their information, and in-between those releases we get stories like this.
chrissy
Hinds will see how many times the Utes played in the couch potato bowl while he was gone, and realize he made the right choice to play for a team that spends its Holidays in places like San Diego and San Francisco.
That'd be crazy, just out tracting and next thing you know you talking to Brett Farve. Hmmmm interesting that they even had the chance to meet him.
I wonder if Troy Hinds is looking at this years Utah graduating class and seeing their record against the best teams they played in their 4 year career:
Arizona St: 0-2
USC: 0-2
Washington: 0-2

Notre Dame : 0-1
Boise St: 0-1
Oregon: 0-1
Chris, I think Troy H knows exactly what he is doing, and can decipher half truths.
Strength + courage +
Domination + power +
Determination + excellence - cocky
Which all equals my friend Troys attributes. He is the fastest. How would you like to race him?
Warped, frustrated, and bitter is how to define someone, but Farve & Hinds are class acts.
Sad that the Utah trolls come out when the story is positive and happpy.
Thats pritty neat!
Real neat.
Wow, slow news day!!! This is big news TO THE ELDER AND HIS FAMILY ONLY. Not "top story news" for the rest of the country!
The story says he MET Favre. The headline says he TRACTED into him. I somehow doubt the headline.
Good for Farve to spend a bit of his time with a Mormon Missionary. If nothing else he would have learned that missionaries are just good old boys that take 2 years to dedicate to the Lord. Being a football player probably helped in this case. I think the world needs to know that missionaries are not some strange breed. I know 30+ years ago I had some pretty strange things said about me and they did not even know me. Amazing what I believe that I did not know.
Thanks Brett for being a decent person to spend some time with a fine young man.
Thanks for sharing this story.
This article its complete BS!
I served there and I can promise you don't `tract' into brett Favre! Everyone knows where he lives, you just go to his house to meet a celeb.
I'm not saying I never wasted time, but the article should read ” missionary decides to pass the time meeting football player instead of doing missionary work.” Everyone wastes some time on the mish but it doesn't usually end up in the local news.
