Let me get this straight.
You uncritically accept a story that severely strains credulity because the story generates positive emotion within you, even in the face of a total lack of objective evidence and abundant evidence to the contrary... that story is just dandy - but if your mom tells you she loves you - for that you recommend a second opinion?
And you teach journalism? Seriously?
"The gospel has provided a feeling of tangible proof won through hard study and prayer."
Now, I can accept that. Really, no one can argue with this statement.
Many people leave off the word "feeling" making the statement arguable.
In religion, everything should begin with "I believe". It's the "I knows" that disable reasonable dialogue.
