This is very sad.
However, a storage shed is not the place for one's most precious possessions.

The problem is that reality TV has convinced some people that all storage sheds are full of treasures.
It has recently been revealed that those shows are totally scripted, with valuable contents inserted.

We used to go to storage auctions. You know what was there? Old tupperware, mattresses, boxes of unmatched dishes, old TVs, used furniture. NONE of the contents were worth what it would cost to store the items for three months. IF there had been anything valuable, it was taken by the storage owners.

Valuables such as this family's, are worthless to anyone else. The boxes would have been opened and tossed in the nearest dumpster.
Sad, but true.
