It's another disappointing loss but there were a couple of positives. The positives were fairly strong games by both Seymour and Taylor who don't usually get many minutes. Those two freshmen will be important to Utah next year so it would be great to see them continue to improve this year. Even Tucker got some minutes and looked good at times.
Bottom line though, if Utah is going to get some conference wins they need to do exactly as the article says ... they need to come out the aggressors and grab a decent first half lead for a change. There's still a lot of learning that needs to happen but I still have confidence in how the coaches are building this thing. Go Utes!
I thought Clyburn had a fantastic game, creating the game winning basket. Congratulations. Oh wait, I made a mistake. I forgot he transferred and did that for Iowa State not the Utes. My bad.
Hey CougFaninTX, Don't follow Chris B's lead and look for silly ways to keep stirring the honey bucket with troll-like efficiency. We have plenty to correct in our own camp, and even more important, praise to dish out wherever athletes excel. Caustic comments never diminish the intended target.
BYU and Utah both had tough losses last night!

Did you also forget that Clyburn lit your team up for 32 points helping his new team pound BYU 62 Iowa State 82?
Utah's bad shooting and turnovers continue. Need to play a guards that can shoot, Dean is not cutting it just like at the JC level. Hopefully one of the freshmen guards will see more playing time going forward.
CougFaninTX,
Your posts are hilarious, especially the one where you predicted Hawes, Carlino and Davies would average a combined 60 pts ppg this season. How are you doing on that prediction? What BYU team has ever had 3 guys average 60 pts, better yet name any college team that has done it. The truth is you're not as smart as you think.
BTW, funny that you are gloating on a Utah article on the same day your team lost.
Bottom dweller in football, you might as well follow up and be a bottom dweller in basketball.
just hang in there ute fans until your Pac12 recruiting advantage kicks in. Then things will really turn around!
@U90 - Good catch. I wasn't thinking clearly when I predicted 60 ppg from BYU's big 3. Davies and Carlino have clearly underperformed what I thought they'd do.
But U have to admit, I'm pretty close on my prediction of Utah's W/L record. It's going to take a while to get the Utes back, and it may not happen on Krystkowiak's watch. His record last year and this year is going to be worse than Boylen's worst year, with a very easy non-conference schedule.
