Doesn't sound like too many BCS school offers for these guys. I wonder Y?
Must be an excellent group of prospects if our little friend up north is so worried about them coming to BYU.
Yes Chris not too many BCS schools.
First recruit is from Logan Utah whose dad coached there until three weeks ago. I am sure many BCS coaches wanted to spend time traveling to Logan to view a recruit who was going to play for his dad. Now that recruiting is opened up let's go to Logan in the winter.
2nd recruit interest/offers from BCS schools before and after his mission. 12Pac and Big 12-2.
3rd recruit Texas A&M SEC
4th recruit Tennessee commit SEC
3 out of 4 had/have BCS offers. The fourth a coach's son is an unusual circumstance.
@Chrissy
First of all, there no such thing as BCS Conferences or schools after this year.
Two, Oregon, Texas A&M, Arizona, Indiana etc..are schools which have recruited these players.
Capiche?.
Try reading the article with comprehension next time.
Chris B you mean like the sound of U bowl invitations this year? and probably next, and next..? that sound?!
No Wisc for Chasen?
Chris B.
I read the article. Of the three, one has a PAC10 offer, one has a Big12 offer, and one received an SEC offer. Only Andersen's son doesn't have a BCS offer.
@sls,
I read the article as well. I dont see anywhere where it states any of these kids HAS a pac12 or big 12 offer.
Has an offer.
I repeat...
Has an offer.
Please show me where any of these kids HAS an offer to a big 12 or pac 12 school.
Thank you.
P.S. Focus on the "has an offer" part
Chris B:
"Carter...received offers from Arizona..." (PAC 10)
"Johnson cites offers from Texas A&M..." (Big 12)
"Barnes...had previously committed to Tennessee..." (SEC) He HAS an offer if he committed.
Lesson: Learn to read at a real school. No more PAC 12 schools.
Chris, every one of them received offers from BCS schools: Texas A&M, Arizona, Tennessee, Wisconsin.
“Johnson cites offers from Texas A&M…”
Carter “…played for Eastern Arizona this past year after his mission and received offers from Arizona, UNLV and San Diego State — among others.”
“Barnes is a 6-foot-4, 225 outside linebacker prospect who had previously committed to Tennessee…” Can’t commit without first receiving an offer.
From the Wisconsin State Journal: “Chasen, a 6-foot, 220-pound middle linebacker who had scholarship offers from Utah State and BYU, originally planned to play for his father with the Aggies. Now he's considering joining him at UW.”
The USU fan's have to be losing their minds right now. This could probably was gonna be a good player for those guys. Since daddy left he was smart enough not to even consider USU.
Chris B, that sounds like most of Utah's recruits, it's always funny when someone like you says that about BYU's recruits especially since you see on just about everyone of them that Utah also recruited them. And let's look at your tight end who was a BYU guy but obviously knew he'd get a lot more action at Utah. Imagine your tight ends without your drop out from BYU. And let's not forget about Lotulelei who originally went to BYU but couldn't get in with his grades, and after changed to Utah, I guess he was bad as well, well until he went to Utah then he was a great recruit. Get over yourself!
Really? All of these argument comments...time to put on the big boy pants.
Troll C, how's your basketball team doing in the conference? How'd your football team do?
Nuff said!
@Jim1027
We are talking about this Anderson kid aren't we? If his dad left USU there's no way the kid was gonna consider them.
Barnes coach that played at BYU is Lenny Gomes. Barnes comes from a excellent program.
RE: sls
Columbia, MO
Texas A&M is a SEC school now
RE: Everyone else why do you feed Chris? Just don't reply maybe he will go away.
Sorry Chris, ball don't lie.... They all had offers.
Nevertheless, Go BYU!!!! WooHoo
Unga, Kehl, Curtis Brown did not have offers to BCS schools.
Coats only had CU and Hall only had ASU.
How many BCS teams went after Kellen Moore at Boise State? 0
Eric Weddle 2 stars no BCS offer.
Brian Johnson 2 stars no BCS offer.
Bobby Wagner 2 stars, didn't even get a offer from BYU or Utah.
