I've been donating to the "One Heart Bulgaria" charity for several years now and hope that it helped make this very happy story happen.
There are so many children in desperate need in this country and around the world it is easy to imagine that any help one can provide is so pitifully inadequate it is pointless to try.
I must admit to waves of that kind of despair when I think of all the children left in Gavin's orphanage who yearn to have happen to them what has happened to Gavin.
Nevertheless, like the person tossing starfish from the shore back into the ocean, I donate to this charity and others with the knowledge that, for that one or a few, at least, some incredible good has been done.
