Wonder how many ute trolls will be either in attendance or viewing on BYU TV next Wednesday.

What was your record against Gonazaga and St. Mary's last year? 1-4 I think including the tournament.

LOL. My guess is that will be the same this year.

Kind of like the football team, you beat all the nobodies and get beaten by all the somebodies.

Tom, what else would ute trolls be doing? They could either watch a decent basketball team or watch the Utah utes lose again.

Why are you guys so worried about what Ute fans will be doing on Wednesday? Don't you think that's kind of strange?

I see some very tough games ahead for the Cougars, especially against St Mary's and Gonzaga. Both are playing better than BYU right now. They better take care of business because their overall record cannot stand another 4 losses if they hope to be in the big dance. The WCC was extremely fortunate to have 3 teams in the NCAA tournement last year and it may not happen again. This week is huge! Go Cougars.

I'm really looking forward to the game against Saint Mary's. It should be a good one. On paper the two teams look about equal and this is the battle for 2nd place in the WCC. Hopefully Carlino will have another solid game. We need somebody to slow down Dellabedova. If Zylstra is struggling on offense, I'd consider putting in Winder since he is our best perimeter defender.

PS - The game is on ESPN, not BYUTV, unless you wait until Thursday for the rebroadcast.

Well I know at least one Utah student (my wife) will be in the student section with me on Wednesday if you're so concerned about what they're up to. I'll ask her to bring some friends.

Wouldn't it be ideal if the fans of both schools could watch and cheer for each other while playing other schools and cheer only for your school when we play each other? Shouldn't we as fans of Utah schools cheer for them to represent the state of Utah well? Honestly, I'm tired of this Mormons hating Mormons garbage going on, especially between the Cougars and Utes fans. I mean, C'mon folks, where's the love? Why is it so hard to be civil? Besides, "...what manner of men ought ye to be?" Just wondering!

Go Cougars!

Latest MRI Computer Rankings 2012-2013

The final four undefeated teams lost this week which had the net effect of keeping the rankings fairly stable. There is still a crowded field at the top, but no longer do we have the cognitive dissonance of a team leading the pack despite a loss.

From the mid-major side, Wichita State took a step back because of the loss to Evansville, but they remain in the top 25. Along with Gonzaga and Creighton, our continual stalwarts near the top, we welcome BYU into the top 25.

The Cougars scored wins over Pepperdine (25 points) and previously surging Santa Clara (18 points) to make a jump in the rankings.

The big test to their staying power will come Wednesday when the Cougars test their frontcourt strength against St. Mary's.

#11 Arizona
#12 Gonzaga
#19 Oregon
#21 BYU
#28 UCLA
#49 Arizona State
#50 Saint Mary's
#71 Utah State
#88 Weber State
#132 Utah

Despite the naysayers, BYU is steadily climbing up the rankings and inching closer to an NCAA berth.

I hate it when Cougar fans bring Ute fans to games.

Actually canadiancougar624 didn't say his wife was a utah "fan", he just said she was a student there. I know plenty of utah students that are BYU fans. The smartest ones are for sure.

Don't fool yourself, no one really cares about what the Utes are doing Wednesday night. Most of 'us' know that you and your friends will be watching. We understand your 'wanting'.

'We' also know that BYU is the hottest basketball ticket in town for the moment but 'we' try not to act like it.

It's something Ute "fans" should take note of when they talk about 'their' sports.

Probably for the same reason you're so worried about this BYU article. You know for someone who "has a life before sports" you sure do have a lot of time for BYU.
