@qwestyI didn't see any of the utah game, I was at my sons
games. I seldom do watch much of utah's games although if there is nothing
else on I'll give it a look. I've seen enough to know they aren't
any good. Glad you're enjoying it though but obviously as a utah
"fan" your standards for what constitutes good basketball are very
low.How'd you enjoy bowl season?
OCoug, the Boylan in Milwaukee is not Jim Boylen, the former Utah hoops coach.
Boylen is still an assistant in Indianapolis. I had the same reaction when I
first heard, though. But, no as of right now, the Pac-12 doesn't appear as
good as the MWC (and they most definitely weren't last year), but I think
come tournament time they will prove to be about equal. From what I've
seen, Arizona, UCLA, Oregon and Colorado look like tournament teams, with a
small chance for ASU or Washington to slip in as well. The MWC has UNM, SDSU and
UNLV that look like locks, but I don't think Wyoming, Air Force and CSU
will hold up through conference play. Wyoming was just beaten at home by a
suspension-depleted Boise team that Utah destroyed at full strength. That's
just my opinion on it, though, we'll see in a couple months.
@Slim- The Pac is a weaker basketball conference than the Mtn West. Look at
the rankings of both conferences last year and this year so far. The Mountain
will once again have more teams in the tourney (possibly four) than the Pac
will. Your reasoning is flawed. This Utah team would be struggling with
Colorado State, Air Force and Fresno State. Let alone Wyoming, New Mexico,
Unlv, and San Diego State. Too bad for the Utes, I felt like they
were actually coming together and were a couple plays or players away from
making some noise. As a Y fan I believe that Coach K has the team on the right
track, it takes awhile to rebuild when the cupboards are left so bare. How bout Boylan being named interim coach in Milwaukee?
Duckhunter?Oh wait there you are just as you are on every Utah
article! Save the excuse about naval vet or whoever else you want to use to
justify your obsession with all things Utah. Lets guess, you just
caught some of the game while you were ding something else right? LOL!Go Utes!
Uteologyno contestFootball smack after a basketball

your team gets humiliated then calling out someone else for the same?WEAK!!
Well I think that the Utes as well as BYU fan now realize that they wer wrong
about the Pac 12 being weaker than the MWC. As a California transplant, I had
to hear this nonsense for four years. Utah is worse than Colorado in the Pac
12. It is too bad, I was excited to be transferred wher I would still be able
to see Pac 12 football and basketball. The locals here jsut ruin it for
everyone. Utah will not win a Pac 12 title in anything for a long time, even
the Red Rocks!
But we're making millions. We are the highest paid losers west of the
Mississippi. So take that BYU!
Most of the game, the officials weren't calling anything. That's not
a complaint, just an observation. Many times we cry "let them play", so
it was interesting to see a game where the officials did just that.

DuckhunterHighland, UTmotorbike?-------------In Tulsa? Oh wait, that was you after 54-10.
After yesterday's debacle, the only possible wins I see on Utah's
remaining conference schedule are at WSU this Wed, at OSU on Feb 6, and home
against OSU on Mar 7. Any other wins would be huge upsets. 11-20
overall, 3-15 conference (with an opening conference tournament loss)Better overall record, but could anybody really say that's an improvement
from last season, given Utah's pathetically weak pre-season schedule?
This is what happens when you don't challenge your "rebuilding"
team, but instead give them a steady diet of weak pre-season opponents like
Willamette, Sac St, Idaho St, Central Michigan, Wright St, Texas St, CS
Northridge, and College of Idaho that don't teach you how to play against
good competition. When you get to conference play, you wilt under the
pressure of playing good and even mediocre teams, losing close games down the
stretch, or getting blown out on your home court.Coach k's
"confidence building" experiment is turning out to be a miserable
failure and it now appears that the Utes will be lucky to match their 3
conference wins from last season.Back to the drawing board.
Embarassaing is the right word. I never thought this would happen to this team
which had such close loses @ Arizona. I also hope they will respond well in the
next game. They just have to keep believing in themselves and eventually...it
will work out!
This was a tough one to take. I think most Utah fans saw this as a good chance
at a win ... even Vegas had Utah as favorites in this one.Utah
would've lost the game regardless of reffing, but this was one of the worst
reffed games I'd seen in quite a while. The league ought to take a good
look at the tape and put the reffing crew on notice.Like I said though,
even great reffing wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game, Utah was
horrible. All we Ute fans can do is hope the team musters the energy to continue
improving. Of course it wouldn't hurt if a shot or two would drop along the
That was embarrassing. A beating is Arizona is understandable, but at home
against USC? I thought Coach K had this program beyond this type of play. I
guess it was wrong! Can't wait to see how the team responds the
Over powers may be the wrong word. USC does not over power anyone. You just
had two terrible teams play each other and the better team won.
I will pay Jason Washburn 5 dollars for every game that he doesn't offer a
quote. I don't want to hear him anymore.
