Very disappointing. :( I feel for the players/coaching staff. They deserved to win a game so many times. I hope the hoop goblins will let a ball roll the utes way. It is the law of averages!!! I predict a 4 or 5 game win streak for the utes!
"I predict a 4 or 5 game win streak for the utes!"
I don't see any stretch in Utah's remaining schedule where that would be possible.
The Utes will be doing well if they can win 4 or 5 games the rest of the season.
This reminds me of the guy that was excited he got a permit for hunting lions. He had waited years to get it. Then he got it, went hunting, and the lion ate him!
Utes, be careful for what you wish for!!!
It'll be sometime before you get and winning record in the PAC12. Maybe never before you get a championship. Just sayin'.
You need to do the following to be a champion in this league:
1. Better coaching.
2. Better recruting.
3. Instill positive expectancy on the level that Oregon, UCLA, CAL, Standford, Arizona players have. If you're on the outside looking in, it is tough.
4. More wins. Success breeds success. You can talk about it all you want, but wins are wins.
5. Better fans.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda, Hoop Demons, moral victories? Maybe the NCAA selection committee will take that under consideration when filling out their field. Good luck Utes the rest of the seasons.
@killarney, yes the realistic outlook is utmost 4-5 wins the rest of the season. My "prediction" was said in hope, mostly. Still, you have to agree they were in almost all the games they lost. With a little more confidence, better execution and a large dash of luck, who knows what record they could have achieved at this point.
Assuming they are getting better as the season progresses, they have 8 home games and 7 road games left.
5-3 home and 2-5 road is surely possible if they keep playing as they have been.
so.. my realistic prediction 7-8 the rest of the way to end 15-15 for the season.
Anyway...hoping they will better that also.
wish them all the luck in the rest of the games.
Go Utes.

Coach K drew up one heck of a game plan. His players just couldn't convert in crunch time.
I grew up despising the U, but I really want this team to win. I really, really do. It's easy to tell that these guys haven't checked out yet. I hope they're rewarded soon with a win.
Welcome back Utes. Coach Krysto has done an excellent job of rebuilding the program so quickly - just as I predicted. It's good to see the Utes be relevant once again - not in the national standings, or even in their conference, but they are at least relevant in individual games. It was only a year or two ago that they weren't even relevant in the game they were playing. Nice to see things turning around for them.
It looks like Loveridge will be the foundation that the Ute resurgence will be built on. Nice to see a local kid excell.
@IRS Agent,
Very well put.
Write this on the locker room wall: We were in every game! Great for recruiting.
