Short term profits for their greedy campaign contributors - that is all Lee, Hatch and Bishop care about. Quality of life, clean air, outdoors fun, clean energy, climate - these are all values held by most Utahns but these guys don't care.
We're sick to death of $4 a gallon gas. It doesn't have to be that high. The US has plenty of untapped supplies, and clean natural gas too. But Obama and Lib policies shut down US development.
They want to regulate everything about our lives. What we eat, what we wear, especially what we think and say, and the size of our Slurpee cupts and 7-11. I refuse to be cornered into driving a glorified golf cart as my next vehicle.
Obama makes the Navy pay $32 a gallon for biofuel as experiment during a time when the nation is broke and military is facing layoffs. He sends half a billion to Solyndra as it's going bankrupt. And deserthound, did you know that some of Solyndra's top executives were big contributors to Obama's campaigns? Where's your indignation there?
Enough is enough. Develop US energy. Create jobs. Reduce foreign dependance.
Lee: " I don't know of any energy developers who would want to drill in Arches National Park or have a species become extinct."
I have lived in the Uintah Basin for about forty years, and my question to Senator Lee would be: What makes you think they would even care?
