Current tv was mostly garbage, I wonder if that will change with it being sold away.

Isn't it sad that Gore goes around the world in his private jet telling us all to ride our bikes more and drive less, than goes back to one of his 4-5 mansions that use more energy in a month than we do in a year?

That Greedy Gore. Interesting how he tried to finalize the sale, before the new taxes were set to kick in. Shouldn't he relish the thought of paying higher taxes and doing his fair share?

He is free to make all the money his heart desires. Money becomes a problem only when it is not used for the benefit of others. Sadly amassing money may not produce a wise and better man, husband or father.

I think it's time for Mr. Gore to pay his "Fair Share". Whatever that means!

Amusing that so many democrats took such issue with Romney's wealth...

Most of the DN bloggers will now conclude that he must be smarter than Mitt and more qualified to be president.

The parasitic Mr. Gore has earned more for doing less than anyone. And to think the D's wanted him as president. There goes the moral high ground myth.

Liberal Ted: Is not he one of your guys? Why don't you speak to him about his hypocracy?

He fooled lot of people but not anymore!

Mr. Romney had plenty of wealth to purchase a “clue” at Mark Leder's house last May. That 10K dinner group were as clueless as he was when it came to the “47 percent”. His and their wealth did not serve the Republican Party very well that day.

Will Obama blame Gore for being greedy, and not paying a little more?

It is an inconvenient truth that he has amassed much of his wealth from the global warming fiasco.

Don't worry, this will be a temporary situation. Scary to think what Mitt's net worth will be 12 years after losing this election. The guy hasn't had a pay check since 1999, and turned down multiple offers north of 30 mil/year after losing the last election.

The fact that it was sold to Al-Jazeera who are apparently partly owned by the emir of Qatar raised a lot of eyebrows. Someone talked with people in Current and they were upset. They felt that Al Gore had sold out to 'Big Oil'. They were disappointed that he sold out on his liberal values.

Back in the Cold War we made mistakes in that when the head of some military junta in Central or South America said that he supported democracy we gullibly believed him. Our naivete created messes that still persist.

In today's world, there is an equally dangerous myth. Just because someone says that he is liberal, doesn't mean that he is liberal. Gore is just a dogmatic. He follows the political dogma, or rather, n his case, he creates the offical dogma which others follow.

Gasp!!! He's officially out of touch and incapable of relating to 95% of America. Hope he doesn't run for president, the country can't handle success and lots of money in a leader. People who have lots of money can't lead because of their wealth. Repeating those ideas enough won a presidency, most certainly not sound policy and strong plans. I figured obama would at least pull a clinton and move to the middle after the election, since he doesn't have a party to hold him accountable next election cycle, but no, he's just more inept at bringing two sides together than previously thought. A major opportunity to show his migration having passed, we'll see if anything changes going forward.

Al Gore suffers from what all liberals must endure; numerous impossible ideological paradoxes, a series bridges too far to gap. On one hand they enthusiastically embrace Darwinism (survival of the fittest) but reject capitalism which is economic survival of the fittest. They deeply love Darwinism but enthusiastically accept Marxism (from each according to their ability and to each other according to their need);complete philosophical opposites. They use rabid environmentally extreme rhetoric and junk science to criticize capitalism while demanding the rest of us do as I say, not as I do. They have great difficulties and ample criticism for anyone who achieves financial success, unless of course the person profiting is one of their own. It is the most hypocritical, fundamentally flawed and self contradictory ideologies possible and it is ripe with internal contradictions. It is dangerous because it produces men and nations like Al Gore.

The person that was re-elected in November is also a very rich man. Yet the media never talked about his net worth, and the amount or the lack of his charitable giving. At least Mitt gave up 30% or so of his wealth on his own. Democrats might need someone to hold their hand and force them to give. But, for the rest of us we are charitable (the kind that you don't have to be forced).

With that said that person in office takes our guns, raises the taxes on rich and poor for they are all alike to him, gives tax breaks to his wealthy friends warren buffett, gore, pelosi etc. Health care premiums are going up, people are being reduced to less than full time work hours, ice is building up in parts of the world and melting in others as it always has, and we find ourselves facing $20 Trillion in debt.

He has a right to make as much money as he can and pay as little in taxes as possible. He also has the right to sell to a network that is despicable but is (according to Al Gore, himself) more in line with his values than Glenn Beck who also made a preliminary offer. BUT, the hypocrisy is hilarious.

Is there ANYONE who could take Al Gore seriously at this point?
