What a great game! A shot from beating the #3 team in the country on their floor? Even with the loss, you gotta be happy with the progress. Love what coach and K and the Utes are putting together. Love it.

They are getting better each game and Jordan will be a candidate for Freshman of the year in the PAC. He's for real.

I love moral victories for the Utes.

They validate BYU moral victories... denied by Ute fans.

Congrats on the close game.

Congrats on a close game. Again, Utes very good on defense, but needing improvement on offense. A little extra offense and the Utes would have W's against BYU, ASU and A.

But the same could be said of BYU's football team this year. A little offense and we would have had W's against BSU, Utah and Notre Dame.

But as Utes remind us, there is no woulda, coulda, shoulda. In the end they are losses.

Another close heart-breaker. Just like the games against BYU in Provo and Arizona State in Tempe, the Utes had the chance to win and should have won. In rebuilding a program as Coach Krystkowiak has had to do, sometimes the biggest hurdle to overcome is finishing out the game. We were so close again!

Either way, it's nice to see our program headed back in the direction where Coaches Gardner and Majerus had it.

Go Utes!!

Good to see the Utes play well in on the road against quality opponents. Amazing that with a bit of luck they could have gone 2-0 this week and may even have got some ranking votes!

I just hope they dont reduce the intensity of their play when they return home. Then they should be able to turn such close losses to some good quality wins.

The risk of turning over almost the entire roster, as the U did, is how quickly new players mesh and pick up the system. It was hard to tell with the softness of the early schedule, but this weekend should be encouraging for U fans.

It's clear the players buy in to the coaching staff's emphasis on defense, fundamentals and effort. They're building a good foundation. Here's hoping the U fans have patience and let this staff build on the foundation. I'm sure they'd appreciate loud and supportive crowds for this week's games.
