This is a tough situation, and the story has not received many comments. I hope more people are responding by sending a bit of help to the medical fund as noted at the end of the article.

This is awful! I have followed this story since it happen, especially since I've known Eric's father Micheal Peterson since school. It really bothers me that not one word has been mentioned about the support Micheal Eric's father has given him, Micheal has been there everyday and staying at a homeless shelter to be near Eric and to support him through this tragedy! He has fought the courts, doctors, ex girlfriend who ran scams and fund raisers for Eric's care which Eric never saw a dime of, And then went and stole other items of Eric's and his car and still nothing has been done, And yet the state of Utah still will not settle or even let Eric's father take him back home to California because of care Eric will need and an outstanding bill, This has been the most horrific and sad treatment of a victim from a state I have ever witnessed and treatment of a father who has been there every possible minute he can for his son...
